This position requires a focused, experienced individual with demonstrated in-depth knowledge of large-scale software research, design, and development. Experience with location-based services and mobile operating systems are desirable.

A seasoned professional, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating software across multiple mobile platforms. Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead mobile-based software development, including design, design review, code review, and integration
• Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to coding tasks 
• Task individual developers with code assignments and own the code quality of the team
• Assist and mentor team members on programming assignments
• Be responsible and accountable for delivering mobile software 
• Own and monitor design and development process
• Work with product and project managers to ensure successful completion of projects
• Participate as a development team member where applicable, including architecture, design, implementation, and testing

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in computer or electrical engineering required
• Master's in computer or electrical engineering desirable
• 10+ years of experience developing software
• 5+ years of developing large-scale software systems
• 2+ years of leading or coaching a development team
• Java, C, C++, and Objective C programming, data structures & algorithms
• XML , JSON, and ASN.1 BER/PER data structure encoding methods
• UML abstraction and modeling languages
• Knowledge and understanding of wireless communications, including network interfaces and GPS theory
• Experience with Android native, brew mp, and Apple iOS desirable
• Security methodologies based on smart card and PKI infrastructure
• Thorough understanding of software engineering methodology and processes
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with IBM Rational tools, including ClearCase, Software Architect, RequisitePro and Rational Team Concert desirable
