It's been six months since Aegis Mobility completed the acquisition of ZoomSafer and six months since we last published Behind the Wheel. We apologize for the hiatus but, as you can see below, we've been incredibly busy.

Since closing the ZoomSafer transaction in November 2012, we have raised additional funding from our investors, expanded our line of FleetSafer product offerings, launched a national reseller agreement with Sprint, and won numerous fleet customers including one with more than 10,000 drivers. Also, we are thrilled to announce that later this summer, we will release the industry's first enterprise-class distracted driving solution for iPhone.

Going forward, we're committed to publishing Behind the Wheel on a bi-monthly basis to share company news and updates, but most importantly our aim is to share research, data and real-world perspective regarding corporate risk and liability associated with employee distracted driving.

According to FMCSA data compiled and presented by Peoplenet, there has been a steady and rapid increase in fines issued to commercial drivers and carriers for various violations of the new regulations that prohibit hand-held use of mobile devices while driving commercial trucks.

The data is summarized below and shows that total monthly fines surpassed $10 million in May:
