DriveAssist for Families

Your Responsible Driving Assistant

DRIVING AND MOBILE PHONES DON’T MIX
Distracted driving is an epidemic and unfortunately, the youngest and most inexperienced drivers on the road are also the most distracted. Teens are involved in three times as many fatal crashes as other groups and motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death among young drivers. Adding a mobile phone to this mix is a dangerous combination.

Even among experienced drivers, using a mobile phone while driving is dangerous. Just talking on the phone, handheld or hands-free, increases your risk of a crash or near crash by 4 times. Many believe hands-free use to be safe, however, studies show a 37% decrease in brain activity which translates into drivers who are less likely to see:

  • Stop signs and lights
  • Low and high objects
  • Other visual cues

HOW DRIVEASSIST WORKS
The DriveAssist mobile client runs in the background of a user’s mobile phone. When driving, the DriveAssist screen is automatically displayed to alert the driver that use of the phone is restricted.

Incoming calls are forwarded to voicemail

Outgoing calls are not allowed except for 911 which can be dialed at anytime

Incoming texts are accessible when driving stops
